01 — Why video

Step 7 of 23 is where most people give up.

  1. Press Win+X and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand Network adapters.
  3. Right-click your wireless adapter (it may be listed under a different name depending on your manufacturer).
  4. Select Properties, then the Power Management tab.
  5. Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" if present.
  6. If the adapter shows a yellow triangle, select Update driver…
  7. Choose "Browse my computer", then "Let me pick from a list"…
  8. If that doesn't work, open Command Prompt as administrator and run netsh winsock reset…
  9. Restart, then go back to step 2 and check whether…
